it all depends on where u live... cops where i live dont really care too much, SD or LA they will throw a fit its supposed to be "mounted on your front bumper" but like i said ive never had any problems, just make sure if u dont have it on ur bumper at least have it on ur windshield and just say that ur frame fell off so your temporarly having it on ur windshield

Years ago I used to have it on my windshield and I got a ticket for it. The cop says that it's supposed to be mounted on the furthest front part of your car, which would be the front bumper.
And yes you can get a ticket for no front plates while parked. I have know people who have gotten them.

yup, putting it in your windshield shows that you are deliberately disobeying the law. It's kind of like you have your front plate obviosly but do not want to mount it in the front. If I was a cop I'd pull more people over with that than people who just don't have it in front because some people like mentioned above, may have had their front license plate stollen.. lol Or they lost it and are waiting for a replacement. But knowing that you do have your front plate and your putting it up in the windshield.. thats a no no!

Back in '01, when I as in high school, everybody parked down the street from school because the lot wasnt big enough. One day, some lame@ss cop went up both sides of the street giving tickets for no front plates and parking too far away from the curb (some people really suck are parallel parking). I cant believe he/she had so much time on their hands that they had to terrorize parked cars (there were alot of cars...)
Luckily for me, the car i was driving back then was perfectly legal... no tint, front plate, not modified in any way...
so far no problems for the G as far as plates and tint... (knocking on wood)
