well its in the auto cross section so im assuming that he is talking about a road course. The Z would win but not by much...maybe a couple couple car lengths....

whoever makes the right downshift at the latest time possible bofore the corners would win. Those cars are so even that slight error caused by any of the drivers would cost him. Assuming that u are comparing the coupe and the Z. Sedan however (03-06) will lose to a 350z and the coupe but not that much. It all depends on the track also (length, turns etc).

This is about BONE stock cars.

I was reading a comparison ill have to find the article, but it was a stock 6spd 350z vs a supercharged 350z with rims, suspension and what not and the stock 350z actually had better times for some reason. I forget why, but it had to do with the rims, the body kit and all this stuff. Was pretty interesting.

street race: anything can happen.
drag race. 0.2 second difference and 1 or 2 mph trap speed difference.

assuming both are 6MTs.

in 2007/8...

the G driver says... I win
the 350z driver says... i almost had you
the g driver says... the new engine beat you
the 350z driver says... and you paid a higher price for it.
the g driver says... a win is a win
the 350z driver says... let me introduce you to my friend mr GTR
the g driver says... uh can i race the altima instead ?

i believe the lines between performance will increase this year.
the 350z will have the new 3.5 liter engine and the coupe with the 3.7
enough to seperate them and justify the cost and throw infinti a bone.
the next step up from a 350 is the gtr.

ppp

i think the z would win....isnt the G heavier...i dunno by how much and plus the z is a 2 seat less weight...most of the time Z are manual... but hay you never know... but im leaning towards the Z winning... but hay i love my G...while rolling a G...then blah blah blah im off in space some times

Depends on which wheel/tire package and brake system the two cars have assuming driver skill is equal.

I read an article about that in a car mag before. I believe it was a Nismo tuned Z compared to a really pimped out Z though. If I remember it right, the Nismo tuned Z lapped about 5-8 seconds faster than the pimped out Z.

Between the two cars, assuming all things being equal, the 350Z will win, but not by much. I think on a track the the 350Z would do better because it's lighter and shorter in length. I've driven many Gs and power delivery between the two cars are very close. The only time I can tell the difference is around corners. All in all it would probably come down to the driver at the end.
