Post Rear parcel shelf SEDAN rattling

gRRrrrrrrrrrr so i went at it yesterday! i removed my whole back seat area of my sedan and found out what really produces some serious rattling. In the photos below you can see i removed the seatbelts where they spool up. Well after tapping the small plastic boxes they fall into on the rear shelf (producing a LOT of annoying rattling) i decided to completely remove them and put a sock around them so they are snug in the plastic boxes they are secured into. After messing with it a little more i noticed the noise coming from the actual seat belt where it spools back up. It rattles like a **** on the lightest tap. Of course i took it apart to see if there was a solution but i didnt mess it the internal part of it. The things that rattle is the metal piece my finger is pointing to and the metal ball u see in one of the photos as well. I did however remove the center rear belt b/c i never have 5 people in my car and if i do too bad! lol Among all this the rattling is for the most part gone it doesnt rattle when there is a little base on the radio so im happy i guess heh. Oh i also put some insulation on the rear pillars as well Here are some photos i took:

to the OP....is there anything that can be done to the seat belt tensioner to get rid of the rattles? i got my car pulled apart for a stereo install and that rattle coming out of the seatbelt area is killing me and i cannot throw enough Dynamat at the problem to fix it.

has anyone else tried to fix this area with any success?

Me too! Just slammed my sedan and now there is a crazy rattle coming from the drivers side rear belt tensioner box thing. Im hesitant to tear it apart if i cannot fix it. OP, did wrapping the tensioner wheel with a sock solve the problem? Is the belt still functional?
