Hey I have an 06 6mt and have about 50000 on it now. Just wondering what parts are used in this car to do a full tune up.

Holy crap... you drive a lot.

Have you done any maintenance to the car yet aside from oil and filters?

I'd start with this:
-transmission fluid change
-differential fluid change
-flush and change coolant
-possibly consider replacing your brake fluid and bleeding the system as well as checking pad thickness and replacing pads if they aren't within the required runout limits
-Oil change and oil filter(assuming you didn't just do it recently)
-in-cabin filter(if you care about this)
-check the fluid level in your battery and top it off if low
-check and top off clutch, brake and power steering fluids
-Lubricate all door hinges with white lithium grease
-Wash and wax the car including inside your door jambs and engine bay(only wash the engine bay with a wet rag, not a direct hose spray on the motor... to be safe)
-Clean dirt out of the drains and drainage passageways around the trunk seal and near the firewall under the hood
-Inspect your engine belts and hoses for cracking or visible damage
-Lexol your leather seats
-Condition your dashboard and all interior surfaces with some UV-protectant chemical
-Check inner edge of tires for wear since these things tend to wear out bad on the inner edge where you won't see them at first glance

As far as parts to buy, it's really mostly fluids and and filters. Spark plugs don't need to be changed for a long time in these cars.

 

hey thanks for all the help. I've done most of that stuff already. Just put on a new brake system last week. Flushed out all the old brake fluid. Getting my third tranny put in soon so I won't worry about that fluid. I've heard about the plug things but I would like to change them. Any idea what the best plug is? I'll do the rest of the stuff you mentioned aswell. Already thought about the diff and the coolant. Thanks again.

who told you the plugs arent needed, i changed mine out at 30k and they were caked. at 65 the iridium plugs i put in were still good and clean. you need new spark plugs, flush the brake fluid since it absorbs water, radiator flush and refill, trans flush/fill, diff flush/fill, belts, incabin filter, power steering fluid and clutch fluid if you have a manual. being cheap and not changing something like plugs is pointless.

 

i put in denso iridium but ngk iridium are just as good...iridiums let you run the plug longer between swaps

 

Do you need to flush the clutch and power steering fluid? or just top it up?

 

The manufacturers recommended change interval for plugs on our cars is at 100K miles. It's fine if you or he wants to change them early.... personaly, I wouldn't wait till the 100K interval to change mine either.... but 30K seems very early. I pulled 2 of my plugs at 25K and they were clean as a whistle.

 

Spark plugs, air box filter or new filter on the intake, oil change, check and or change your serp belts, tranny flush, rear diff fluid change, cabin filter change and all the above that was listed.

 

i think there's a DIY somewhere in here that shows you how to change and access your spark plugs.

 

You can have a shop flush the power steering fluid. Some places do it. I think you just need to drain and refill the clutch, you only flush auto trans.

 

yes flush the fluids they corrode with time. the spark plugs do need to be changed and just because platinum plugs may go 100k miles the performance goes down with all the stuff that cakes on the plug. you will feel a difference after you change the plugs out. if you need help changing the plugs pm me and ill send you instructions, it takes about an hour the first time because you have to move some harnesses around to get to the back 2. second time it took me little under 40 mins
