CD error F0

CD error F0
Damn it! Last month my CD/Radio started cutting out when I hit large potholes and bumps in the road.
When I took it in for repair, Infiniti notified me that the previous owner had "Cut all the wires from the
unit to the harness." I had to pay $300 for Infiniti it bring the unit back to factory specs. I knew this
would happen, now my unit refuses to play or eject CDs. I get the CD ERROR F0 on the unit display.
I believe it stand for FUC* OFF! I feel used! The unit played very well after Infiniti fixed the wires.
Now this...............

Re: CD error F0
cato... you are just not having any luck with the audio system, eh?
i think that there is a TSB out for that CD error. the dealer should replace your unit under warranty. quite a few '03 sedans had the same problem, and some of them have had trouble because of CD-Rs with labels. good luck.

I know this is a recognized problem and it will be replaced
under warranty. But I think they are gonna replace it with
a unit that has the same problems as this one, right?
What will happen when my warranty period is over and
this happens again? I get sick thinking about it.......puke!

Re: CD error F0
CD error F0 is really common if you read through the message boards. Mine did that the day I drove my 03.5 out of the dealership. It worked fine for about 30 minutes but then you'd hear distortion in the music and then ultimately... F0.
Took it in, they ordered a replacement radio no questions asked, and the new one has worked fine for months without any problems.

Re: CD error F0
I just had mine replced. A good shake from an ABS stop triggered the error.
The old unit would not eject CD-Rs properly, so I did not use them. The dealer told me some CD-Rs will work OK, so I asked Guitar Center for a CD-R that was more like pressed CDs, and they recommended Microboards CDR-80ZYPA-ZM. So far I have had no problems!
Now, if Clarion can just return my entombed CDs...

Re: CD error F0
I have been patiently waiting for Infiniti to call me in for the
swap. I have also been fu*king with the unit, trying to get
my CDs out. The other day I decided to show my daughter
the CD ERROR F0 message when the damn thing started
to play the CDs normally. I immedialy pressed the eject all
button and out poped CDs 1 and 2. It flubbed on CD 3, then
gave up CDs 4, 5 and 6. Alright! Over the next few days I
continued screwing with it, knowing I should be able to fool
the damn thing into giving up the Beck CD. Finally got it!
I feel much better about getting my six CDs back from that

As a followup, my CDs were returned to the dealer, Cerritos, and to me in only 3 weeks. Clarion must be getting better at the turnaround. Also, I have had no trouble playing 2 brands of CDRs.

Re: CD error F0
My Sedan is in the shop this morning for the replacement
of the CD/Radio. The loaner has the Bose system. I didn't
realize the Bose system sounded SO much better. I want
a better sounding system! Is it just the Bose that makes
it so much beter, or could I improve the basic system with
speakers, amps, what not to get better sound? I feel left out!
