How much will your 30,000 mile service cost?

After reading the thread on the 15,000 miles service cost I chose to skip the full 15,000 mile dealer service in favor of just changing the synthetic again since I'm now around 18,000 and will be closing in on 22,500 in relative short order. Since that particular service is "only" $200 at my dealer I wasn't worried.

Anyway, I noticed on the service menu they want $850 (PLUS tax, shop supplies, plugs, belts and radiator cap) for the 30,000 mile service! Please tell me that is an absurd amount.

Also, how often do you guys go through brakes? My brakes are still in good order but I wasnt sure how often they were supposed to be changed.

i changed my pads at around 19k and yes i believe that is an absurd amount to pay for the 30k service....but then again we all want to have the warm and fuzzy knowing we did the right thing at the right mile interval

$850 - before, quote "tax, shop supplies, spark plugs, drive belts and radiator cap additional"

Sheesh. With the synthetic changes I just dont feel the pressing need to do anything in between the 7500 miles. I'll do the 22,500 and maybe hit the 30,000 if I can find it cheaper. Is this wrong?

man, seems pricey, mine came out to 1300 along with new brakes, new endlinks, a brake fluid flush and re-installing the under body panels. it think the service in itself was less than 550$. (1300 includes 14% taxes)

oh, and the a/c belt. so yeah, 850 seems steep for the service alone.

$0

The dealer offered me a 5 year/75,000 mile free scheduled service plan (to compete with BMW) for $1580...it was too hard to pass up.

Is there a SERVICE MANUAL available by Infiniti? I checked out Hayes line but they don't have G35, I will check if Chilton make em but I doubt it.

Make you that 30K service only includes in the items listed in your owners manual. Dealers are notorious for adding additional sevices that are not in your owner manual.

The price is going to be off because dealers have different prices put in place for their hourly labor rates. But it shouldn't cost anywhere near the 850. They have probably included a bunch of stuff not called by infiniti. They all do. You should never tell the dealer you want the x-miles service. When you go in for service bring in your manual and tell them to do the services listed in the manual, and get a price before you leave.
