Here are a few things and places you can go to. I won't post too many since I have promised to do a trip report with pics in the Canada section, which I haven't done yet.
I just returned from 2 weeks in the Mayan Riviera around Akumal which is a 25 minute drive south of Playa del Carmen. We have gone to the same place for the last 3 years.

Learn of Mayan Culture and People


Just kick back and Relax with old & new Friends






I could go on forever. As you can see we love this place and we are going back for 4 weeks next year. So much to do and an awesome place to relax.
