I'm 04 5AT I had the same problem, but mine's a tad off the electrical smell topic.
Mine smelled like a cinnamon roll. I popped the hood, could not find anything..... So, I took it back to the dealer, turns out when I had the car serviced, the tech dropped a piece of his danish which lodged in my engine bay and began to melt and drip....

No, but I do experience that electrical smell too. In fact, I just had that the other day and I swear I thought my car was on fire. I was about to pull over. When I got home, nothing...no smell whatsoever anymore.... lol
