They do have 3 GT-Rs with the same price in the showroom. I thought it was a way to keep non-serious buyers away from the cars, like a scarecrow.

Then I posted this on another forum and someone called out the dealer I took this at because he said they apparently posted on ebay with this price as their buy-it-now price. So I figure they must have come up with this crazy price to see what suckers they can get and hope that someone will come in and bid something like $100,000.

In other words, they're I think they're telling people they'll sell to the highest bidder or sell it for $159k without bidding.

I can't believe that even a rich person would pay that much. Yeah, the performance justifies 6 figures, but even rich people don't give away money, and if they do, it's not to a greasy dealer. I just can't believe they have the nerve to mark up the car that much. I feel like sending the pic to corporate Nissan. This dealer is within their rights to do what they want, but maybe next time around, Nissan won't be so generous with the GT-R allocation to this dealer or pinch them some other way.

This is Darcars Nissan in Rockville, MD. 2 silvers and 1 titanium. I just wanted to sit in one, but all doors locked. I guess I'd keep them locked too if I thought they were $159k cars. Lots of finger prints on the windows though

I'd have considered buying one at $70k, not so much at the new MSRP announced last week $76k (which Nissan doesn't yet have on their website), and no way above sticker. Maybe in a few years, but I have a thing where I can't buy a car that I've never driven. And to spend this much money, I need to know what it drives like. I know its great by the numbers, but I've come to appreciate feel more than bench racing in my old age. But it's the best car at the price in my opinion. I'm just stingy with my money I guess. Got to stretch those hard-earned dollars you know.
