Call me a slacker, but it's 20º here and my steel-clad pole barn of a garage wouldnt get warm enough for me to DIY anything even if I set it ablaze. No way I'm doing this myself in January.

BTW just turning 40K miles on my '05 6MT. This is the first mention of cracks on the part of the dealership.

ALSO, if you don't have the tools—just break down and make a trip to Sears and buy a Craftsman mechanics set with socket and open-end wrenches (with metric!) The only other thing you might need is 9" or 12" socket extensions for hard to reach spots. Once you have the tools you need to complete a job there is no going back! Always invest in the basics!
