I like the new SHO but its way over priced ~$45K and its way too heavy, its close to 4500lbs. I dont know many people that would pay that much for a Taurus. The new eco-boost engines are well built and have potential though, they just need to cut the excess weight. I liked the older SHOs (late 80s, early 90s), they weighed 1000lbs less than the new SHO, handled decent for FWD, and came with a strong Yamaha engine. Only thing Ford thing about them was the shell.
I give Ford respect for the direction they have been heading. They focused on the important stuff, restructured and ended up not borrowing from our government, I give them major props
. They definitely are in a better situation than GM and Chrysler. However, I still wouldnt buy a Ford.
