Perhaps because there is no statistical data for the Spec-V on the ring by Sport Auto, there is no LM version yet, the regular 'Vette falls short on price and performance to be in the same league as the GT-R, and the Z06 already proved to be quite an adequate comparison.
In fact, Sport Auto acheived a 7:40 in the Z06.
Why would somebody compare base 'Vette to a base GT-R?
Should we also compare the base 911 to the GT-R? No. The 911t is the competitor here.
I just found it ironic that the ZR-1's time is so closely matched to the GT-R's.
