Undercarriage plastic fell off

So I posted a couple days ago about a weird noise coming from the undercarriage when I driver faster then 80 mph, so today when I was pulling into my house the plastic of the undercarriage (the one that guards the oil pan) fell off. Just wondering if its really necessary, my car isnt lowered so I dont worry too much about scraping and the aerodynamics of it im not too worried about either because I wont be going fast enough for it to matter.

you need it - it protects hoses wires and other small protruding parts underneath

Lots of people run without it with no issues. Buy the Aluminum one if you want to cover it back up, it costs a bit more then a new one of those plastic ones from the dealer. But it wont fall off :P

There was one set of wires that ran kind of low, so I used a zip tie to tuck them up into the engine bay, other then that nothing looks to be low or in danger so im just gonna run without it, makes oil changes quicker and a nice weight reduction....2 pounds

Will affect the aerodynamic behavior underneath at really high speeds... not that you'd ever notice.

you don't need it, but its nice to have for the aerodynamics & keeping the engine bay clean.

Put it back on, Nissan doesn't do anything without a reason. Like Big C mentioned it will protect your engine compartment and help aerodynamics. There are some very critical parts that should be protected, wires/sensors and your oil pan....it's just common sense to put it back on!

If anyone has one in mint condition - I will pay top dollar for it (but not dealer pricing)

Mine is torn / hanging.

Contact me via PM - sorry to ***** on the thread.
