I used DNL on route 40 in White Marsh MD. All they do is tinting. Very good! 30% Tint!

Re: Best Tint Shop in MD/VA Area?

I haven't been there yet but I know for a fact that this one guy has done a bunch of G35Cs (at least six). He's based out of Laurel and I plan on going there before winter to get my G35C tinted. Here's his info:

United Solar Tinting, Inc in Laurel, MD
(301) 490-5523
$140

If you're interested let me know and we may be able to setup a group discount with him. I told him before that I would bring in my G35C and my friend's 350Z and he quoted me $130 per car. My friend with the Z backed out but I have a friend with an Acura Integra and another with a Toyota Tacoma so we might be able to get a good deal ($120 or $110 per person maybe). Let me know if you're interested.

I'm in Alexandria, although a drive to Laurel, MD wouldn't be so bad for a $140 tint job. Let me know if you do a group buy any time soon.

Can I get more info on that shop? What kind of tint do they use? Lifetime warranty? Any pics? No offense, but I just want the best quality tint on my g35. Thanks.

Re: Best Tint Shop in MD/VA Area?

Well of course we ALL want the best for our Gs. I don't have much more info on them. If you want info the best thing to do is call them and ask those kinds of questions. I'm hoping to get my G tinted before the end of the month. If you all are really interested (I hope the moderators don't think this is a group buy, I'm not making money off of this save the discount that we all get off our tint) PM me with your contact info (an e-mail address will do) and I'll keep you all (those of you who are interested) in the loop. Thanks.

Re: Best Tint Shop in MD/VA Area?

I went to HP racing up in Glen Burnie. They did a nice job so far. The thing about getting your windows tinted is you will not see the final results for a couple of weeks. You have to allow time for things to evaporate off and what not. Also, on the back glass the coupes have a dot matrix which cannot be covered with window tint. HP racing used a solid piece of black vinyl. From the outside it looks like tint. From the inside you can see the line slightly through the rear view mirror - but it looks sharpe. HP also guareentess their work for life. They have been voted the best window tinting place in the MD area for four years now. I got 20% which is plenty dark - especially considering the black interior. I have a couple of spots that still need to evaporate out - but if they don't I can always go back and fix them. The life time warranty is key. It covers anything and everything. I would recommend HP.

Re: Best Tint Shop in MD/VA Area?

I went to CA Tint in Great Falls. $170 with web coupon. They also do clearshield. Had 50% on the sides and 35% on the back for MD legal reasons. The install is great, but note my post about SunTek film and the 2004 Coupe & tire pressure sensors. Seems, according the the Infiniti manual, that metal film can "interfere" with the sensors. The day after the install, the chime went off and the light came on. Went off again for a bit a day later, then came on and stayed on. It could have been a coincidence since the car is brand new...

Yeah I live in Potomac and I am thinking about doing tints. Anyone know of any places nearby (ie Rockville or Gaithersburg) that do good tinting. Laurel wouldn't be that bad, I guess. How long does tinting take? Can I wait there while they do it?

I dont know any tint shop there, but one thing I know is... I'll go w/ the Formula ONE window tint film, especially the "PREMIER" film they have.

You can check their website for locations near you
