V1 is the only detector to have. I've owned 3 of them over the years. My latest unit is the best yet. It has incredible false alarm rejection and it's range is unbeatable. Get the V1!

maybe, but for the $ I think the 8500 is a better bet, I found one for like $248 shipped on ebay brand new 1 yr warranty. Probably go with that, since that still saves me another $85 over best buy!

I have the x50. I mounted it behind the mirror and hardwired it to the fuse box using the remote harness kit. You can't see it from inside the car unless you are in the passenger seat. I also ran an extension from the LED to my temperature console display in the center of the dash. You don't see anything unless the detector goes off.

I am using a Passport 8500. I purchased it from a friend when he upgraded to a V1.
I have it in a pouch strapped to the underside driver side sunvisor. Can't see it from outside the car, it's completely stealth. I don't have to mess with putting it away or a visible windsheild mount when I park. I have the hardwire kit running under the interior trim and tapped into the driverside power outlet. This is the only radar detector I've owned, but I'm very happy with it's performance. |

I have the Escort X50 with Mike's mount and hardwired with the invisicord and it works great for me.
