I've attached a document about the navigation discs for the G35 sedan/coupe (03-06). They use the 6 series navigation discs, while the 2007 G35 sedan uses the 8 series disc. So, to answer your question - unfortunately, no.
To update your 2003 disc you'll have to go to navteq.com and buy your updated DVD (most up to date is 10/2008 and ~$190.00) unless you can find one cheaper elsewhere.

you would have to upgrade the entire navigation system itself to go to the 2007+ sedan system which would require alot of work. They use a hard drive as opposed to a DVD-rom drive. The 2006 sedan and 2006-2007 coupe systems are slightly improved from the 2003-2005 system and run off of the 7.x DVDs. 2003-2005 run off of 6.x disks. This is a more possible approach but you would need to switch out the navigation computer and also the updated DVD drive and I believe the wiring changed for those years.
The annual DVDs released are usually only updated map data, any changes to the software or OS is negligible.
