depends on your speaker depth. most of the time you WILL need a speaker. it's true of 90% of nissans

yes you will because of the depth and the screw pattern. I have an extra set I never used. Send me a PM if you are interested.

The main reason for spacers for the front speakers is not a depth or screw pattern issue, it is because you need to space the front of the speaker out to the back of the plastic door panel. There will be a gap between the speaker and the plastic door panel, which will not provide optimum sound, if you do not use a spacer and screw the speaker into the metal door.

sorry man but the ONLY reason I use spacers is because when the window goes down the window hits the speaker. screwing the speaker into the metal of the door will probably give you a better sound because it's more of a sealed environment. speakers always sound better in an enclosure

As long as everything is sealed, having the speaker on a spacer should make little difference in sound quality. In fact, it should be better with a spacer as a lot of sound will not get out if the speaker is recessed too much. This is even more important with a coaxial speaker and having the tweeter sitting too far back.

It is a good idea to use Dynamat between the inside metal door panel and speaker (or spacer) in any case.
