SEARCH BUTTON very easy to use tool. you cannot use your factory buttons because they are part of circuit board that spans pretty much the length of the face of the panel. you may be able to order the JDM AC controller seperately. will it work with the metra kit? dunno I think the AC controller sells for like 275 or something like that and then you have to mod to get the dual mode working.

I just bought a set, JDM ac controller and dash finisher from grubbs infiniti. ac controller was 200. And if your going to order that you might as well get the dash finisher also. The finisher and shipping will be less then the metra kit.

The Metra Kit sucks! All the lights blink on the A/C controller intermittently, I should have gone JDM route.

I think my total was just over $300. They did say available in limited quantities so I'd pounce now!

I have a titanium finish JDM kit for sale. I purchased it along with the Metra one and my AVIC-f90 fit the Metra kit perfectly. So if anyone is interested, send me a PM.

Cheers,
Kev

I used the JDM buttons on my metra finisher . Beware they do not mate with eachother without modification to the metra finisher .However after being modified so the buttons fit you are left with a JDM kit with no gap around the radio .

Wouldn't it be easier to make a filler panel to fill in the gap around the HU?

Not really . To get the buttons to fit you just have to enlarge some of the holes around the buttons and thats it ..
