PA11-NIS Problem '04 G35 Coupe BOSE w/o Sat

Tore apart the dash yesterday (not very fun). Hooked up USA Spec unit. At first, very impressive - good sound, loud, all controls work including steering wheel. PROBLEM: when starting the car w/o iPhone attached once in a while "CD Changer 1" dissapears completely. Car doesn't recognize USA Spec unit. I suspect the device hangs. The only way to bring it back is to reconect the cable which goes from Head Unit to device or disconnect the battery. Nothing else works (I've tried everything attach/reattach iPhone, switch to FM, take the key out and start again etc). Once it's in the hang mode, CD Changer option is simply gone.

This is unnacaptable since once I put the dash back together I won't have access to the unit anymore and reconnecting battery everytime is not an option. Lastly late yesterday I've noticed that there is a hissing sound coming from the speakers even if HU is turned off. When I disconnected USA Spec unit it went away. I didn't notice it before, maybe it wasn't there; will investigate.

Anyway, is it a defective unit? I googled and only found one person with a Toyota truck having disconnection issue like me. Any other ideas? Anyone with my setup have problem with PA11-NIS or is successful?

Please help - can't leave dissasembled dash for too long.

Called USA Spec support. Defective unit. PA15-NIS worked like a charm, but still have the hissing sound which is coming from the wires. Not grounded/shielded enough.
