I have owned many Japanese import cars as well as my current 03 350GT. All of them have had factory navigation and it has never worked outside of Japan.
You can try to find a Nissan nav DVD from another vehicle that has working maps of your country and try it in your car to see if it will work. My experience however, is that these units will not work outside of Japan even if you can find the appropriate software.
