Sounds right to me. it'll be a sweet set up too. You could look into having 2 cameras, one could show forward on one screen and back on the other. That would be sweet. Will the MPG, engine notification functions and all that still work too? Should, I don't see why not.

i installed a rear camers through the sockets in the armrest but the picture is coming black and white then i checked with a portable DVD player and again it was black and white....anyone knows why i cant get colour on the NAV screen...my car is without faftory Sat NAV.

no i checked camera is cloloured with night vision....even if i plug any DVD through AUX inputs it comes as black and white ....

Most night vision camera is a BLACK and WHITE camera!!!!

Might want to double check!!

hey everyone,
iv got a 2004 jdm g35
i dont use the sat nav scrren at all coz its all in japanese,
can i simply remove the satnav dvd player from the lil glove box and hook a car dvd up to play dvds on the screen? or do i need some sort of convertor and need to wire it up to the oem sterio for audio?

If you remove the satnav dvd player from the lil glove box the screeen won't be powered - you either need to leave it in there or rewire the screen.

You will need an RGB converter, like mentioned in this thread, to put the picture from your aftermarket DVD player to the screen.

You will then need a device to get the audio in to the cars stereo.

I believe that no one is answering your questions because all your questions are already answered in this thread. I realize there is a lot of reading involved, but all the answers are here.

What sort of RGB converter is required... iv read the thread but unlike others i do not require the factory functions at all... just dvd playback
