I think they were having some system problems. I got a call last week that mine didn't ship out and they send it 2 day air to me.

Cool

Hi urban
Hope all is well.
All G35 orders should have shipped. We ran out of cables, so there was a delay in shipping. The cables came in last Friday so your unit should have shipped. Please call Kim at 718-763-7367 and she can give you a tracking number.
Thanks Dominic

the second generation slim ps2 should fit in the glove box...its smaller than the owners manual packet.

For those that have the PS2 in the glovebox, any issues with road vibrations causing the DVD to skip?

If 03 or 04, all models (PAC VCI-X or AV Electronics unit) give same quality thus far, but the stock Infiniti LCD is exceptional compared to other cars, so don't worry there. This will be your video input switct. Try going to the PAC website and looking at the wiring instructions to get an idea of how it works (simple).

For sound, best quality is the PAC AAI-NIS unit. It uses your SAT button (03 and 04) or your Radio (but SAT setting) for 05 and gives you CD quality sound. However, if you have an activated satellite radio, it won't work. So someone in the sound industry for the longest time, suggested to me the Myron & Davis ANT 108 wireless FM modulator for best sound compared to any other modulator. I just recieved it yesterday and will let you know how good it really is.

EDIT: this is the best FM mod, let alone wireless by far. I tried it at one end of my house using a computer in one room, and my Stereo in the other, and the quality was awsome (no static). But have yet to pop it in my car.
Hello All this is my first post/question.

I appologize in advance if this Q has been presented before. Please share your thoughts and suggestions.

GeeImfast - You seem very knowledgeable based on the post I've read. Your recommendation would be appreciated

Situation: I have an 04GCoupe WITHOUT Navi but found a contact here in Canada that says he has a smashed G that he is willing to remove all the related Navi compontents (DvD unit, GPS Antana, LCD, Conrol unit, wire harness, software) and sell it to me for around $1500.

Question: Based on what Ive read from all the post, im a little confused and am not sure what is the most cost effective way to proceed. Do i need all these pieces? Someone mentioned that the stock DVD will only play the Navi software with no video? Do I really need the dvd player and the wire harness or do I only need this AV and PACs equipment?

*******Other info from other posts*********

1) Any unit but the AV will run about $300 (AV is like $500)
2) DVD Player or PS2 (I paid $110 for my FUMA or you can go with a PS2)
3) FM Mod or PAC AAI-NIS (I paid 30 for my wireless FM modulator)

1) "Module" which will be hooked up to wiring behind your navigation. This will allow you to plug in a DVD player or PS2 via the yellow RCA cable per se. This is only video...what about sound?
2) The PAC AAI-NIS or an FM modulator for sound
3) External player like a DVD player or PS2

Thanks everyone and Regards,

L J

I thought that it was a simple snip of a wire to get the factory nav to play dvd's? Am I wrong? What was I thinking about?
