OEM Ipod Interface Adapter

I have an OEM Ipod Interface that was installed on an 07 G35 sports coupe with stock Bose unit.

My car already had the prewired satellite harness in the trunk by the Bose amp unit. It is a straight forward install to where you plug the satellite cable in the trunk into the ipod adapter cable and the toughest part is getting the Ipod cable underneath the carpet to the compartment under the armrest which is where I placed my Ipod.

With the newer ipod and iphone, you will need the scosche passport adapter to charge them while playing at the same time. I have the scosche passport somewhere and I will throw it in for an additional $5 which would bring the local pick up price to $90 and with shipping to a price of $95.

Additional information can be found on these websites:

One way to check if your car has the Satellite Pre-wire Harness is to toggle through the radio button on the face of your Bose unit and see if SAT appears after toggling through AM, FM1, and FM2. This would indicate that you possibly have the Satellite Pre-Wire Harness and you can confirm this by looking at the Bose Amp unit on the rear driver's side. There should be a connector cable dangling which is the Satellite Pre-Wire Harness and you can confirm this by also calling your dealership. If you see a wire connector dangling there, then that where the connector on the left of the Ipod picture I posted connects to. The middle Ipod connector the picture is ground which is grounded to chasis. My Ipod unit box was placed underneath the plastic console in the rear seat. The toughest part is getting the Ipod connector underneath the carpet from the rear seat to the center console underneath the console.

What you see in the picture is all you need in order to play your iPod touch as long as you have the Satellite prewire harness. Please see Bigore post which contains information about confirming if you have the Pre-Wired Satellite harness. Also this unit does not charge the newer Ipods. I have the 3g Ipod touch which played on the Bose unit, but it would not charge. So I bought Scosche passport adapter which connects to the end of the Ipod cable and you connect the ipod 3g to the Scosche passport Adapter.

I would have to say yes, but I am not 100% sure. My car is currently having some issues worked on since I went FI. Other wise I would take a photo of that same area on the driver's side.

I would also like to apologize for not posting sooner that the item is pending sale.
