LOL! I haven't started searching for just the button yet, and am not convinced you can order just that. We will see. Resistor and LED are no problem. Any radio shack will do for those.

Hi all. Glad I stumbled on this post. I just bought my G35 Diamond Graphite 6MT Coupe about 2 weeks ago. Yeah, funny I'm already thinking about chucking the BosePOS. As you both mentioned, you didn't order the premium package (neither did I), but you can add the dual AC and Rearview mirror when it doesn't orginally have it? Isn't there like an display for the Dual Climate control near the clock for temp and whotnots? If you don't have that display, will it still work? Didn't know you can do the mirror as well. Anyways, I'm still very new hear so I'll just check back on everyone's progress. I wouldn't mind getting the parts for all of these. Glad I found this place.

To be clear, don't know if you can do the Dual mod at this point. I'm going to check into it. As far as the rearview mirror, yes you can order it. Part number is 50-GENK40. You can search for it in yahoo, and there are a ton of places to buy it. I found mine for $199. I'll be installing it this week.

Thanks Inno. BTW, I'm in Southern Cal (near L.A.) so if anyone is near, I wouldn't mind meeting some fellow G35 Enthusiasts :-) I'll check back with you on the Dual Climate and the mirror. I was looking at some photos of the Dual Cilmate and noticed that it had two displays for the air thingie so it would be interesting to know if it can be done. I just didn't want to shell out the additional $1500 for the upgraded stuff when I would be getting rid of the BOSE POS anyways. Thanks for the info.

I agree with you on the extra for the premium package. That's why I didn't get it. I love my new double din kit. I'm putting my rearview mirror with homelink in on Tuesday. At the same time, I'm going to put my PAC SWI-PS in as well, so I can use my steering wheel controls with my Pioneer AVIC-D1. I live in Burbank by the way. My aol IM name is G35JohnC. Drop me a line sometime.

if youre changing out your headunit, you will need the A/C controller... and the finisher! but not the bracket... TRUST ME!

if u dont have dual climate control, then you wont need to do the soldering, but will still need the A/C controller...

Is that the D1?

Looking at getting it done on my new 05 5AT sedan. Install, DD kit, D1, XM (Nav traffic) and the iPod kit for $2700 installed out the door. How do you like it thus far?? Any alternatives to consider (other that N1/N2)?

Thanks!

Hey Inno. How's everything coming along? How's the mirror? I saw a nice mirror that had the compass and temp on it too. I have a question: On the AC controller board, can't you just relocate it off of the BOSE and just move it somewhere else and just make an extension wire or is the AC board permenantly stuck on the BOSE? Just wondering as I am planning on doing this mode. Thanks for your and everyone else's help.

Hey, the new mirror was great. The install was a pain. I did a little writeup with pics in the interior forum. Yeah you can get like the GENK50 which has the compass and temp on it too, but why. You have a compass and temp reading right next to your clock. It's $100 more for something you already have.

The radio and AC controller is like nothing I've ever seen before. Normally the radio is its own entity. You'll have to take it out to see.

Basically behind the stock face plate the AC controller board is the same board as the front of the radio. Then that green electronics board (which has all the buttons and everthing on the other side) has a ribbon cable that connects it to the stereo box. Really strange.

Anyway, you have to get the AC controller from Japan. No way around it.

Wow, the 06 isn't even out and you are thinking of doing a DD conversion?! Now that is what I call future thinking! :-)
