I dont think you will find it anywhere cheaper seeing as how it is a Stock part...usually the same price everywhere.

But good luck!

but not everybody sells for MSRP... Grubbs in particular sells parts (and entire cars for that matter) below MSRP... it's just a matter of finding a place that sells at a discount AND carries this part... Grubbs sells the '04 A/C controller for $199... maybe the MSRP went up that much for '05 but I don't see what it would have...

yeah the button works...

but the DANM light wont turn on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ive soldered 5 different LED's that i took off the old board, im not sure if i shorted the lights as i soldered them off, or not...

i might buy a brand new LED and solder that on, but i think i ruined the JDM A/C controller by soldering so many lights on and off...

what u guys think, is it worth buying a whole new A/C controller if i ruined my JDM one???

so the only thing is the light...you did get it to work without the light which is good...I can live without it.

i know the LED has a negative and positive part...

first, i soldered it on the wrong way (theres a little green dot to indicate lower right corner) then i flipped it and it still didnt work...

i think im gonna try it again...

finally figured it out!!!!!!!!

see the before and after pics...

you cant see the after pic very well, but i noticed that the circuit wasnt complete so i looked at another LED and ONE of them has a "242" (or "292") next to it, so i soldered one next to it and it didnt work... flipped the "242" and it still didnt work... put in another LED and it works!!!!!!!!!!

moral of the story: my soldering skills are fine...........

conclusion:
1. make sure the LED has the little green dot on the lower right corner, like all the rest
2. solder on a "242" from the stock board onto the left side to complete the circuit, i guess its a resistor??... (i hope i didnt put the wrong number on and burn my car down one of these days!!!...) also note: im not sure if the orientation of the ?resistor? is important, but i have mine facing to the right, meaning u have to rotate the A/C controller 90degrees counterclockwise to read the numbers (see last pic)
