damnit this is a nightmare.
I cant get the LED to work, I have tried 8 different ones. You will have to show me. Also this ****ty SWI-X is not working either. The 05 wiring is different GRRRR -SF |

service manual says pin 18 going into the stock "audio unit" (base and bose) is the speed signal from the instrument panel... the wire is white with a green stripe...
is that what you are talking about?? |

u gotta order it from Japan, its about $400, you dont need the bracket, unless the one for your car is broken!...
look in the FAQ/ DIY forum, 2nd page i think, for a DIY and instructions on who to order it from... the 05 is pretty similar, aside from the fact that you gotta solder on a resistor and LED for the DUAL climate control button as well as the electrical button itself... PM me if you got any further questions... |

what do you mean the electrical button? i thought all you had to do was solder the led and the resistor or whatever?.. hmm.. wish you would of took more pics and mad a diy.. im not hating tho you did pioneer the way for us... at least you didnt have any problems.. that was what i was worried about

the LED, the resistor, and the actual button for DUAL climate control that is located on the motherboard... they all need to be soldered on...
the DIY would be very similar to the 03-04's, except for the LED and resistor. see docron's DIY... http://www.g-owners.com/article_read.asp?id=33 |

ok.. so the resistor is for the led right? other than the led and resistor its exactly like the older moldels.. right

i was in GRider35c's 05 6mt and man is that headunit lookin sweet... perfectly flush with the center console... nice work there Kia...
