here's an email I got from J's...

"Hello, Ron san. How are you today?

Now, we found the part number of the V35 aluminum dash parts. But we are
still unsure,,, Could you please confirm the parts number?
68260-7W000 (Double Dash Aluminum)
27500-AC500 (AC Controller)
28038-7W010( Bracket)

Thank you.

If we can do anything for you or you have any questions, please don't
hesitate to let us know.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely yours,
J's Garage Export
Yo****aka Ikeda yosi@j-garage.com"

I asked him to possibly send pictures of the parts for confirmation.....but what sucks is that I don't think that 03-04 models coupes or sedans will be able to retrofit an 05 dash to make it DD. Too many new 05 dash parts needed.

Please keep us posted on the parts you'll need for the conversion. I'm looking forward to doing the same, and it really helps to have you guys blazing a trail!

Are there really only three parts needed? For some reason I thought I remembered there being more for the '03-04s...

No, to retrofit 03-04 models with 05 dash, you'll need like 6-8 MORE pieces (that you can buy from a local Infiniti dealer) IN COMBINATION with the 2-3 JDM parts. AND>>>>>> we dont even know if the 05 parts' screw holes and clips fit the exisiting 03-04 dash.

Dammit, still no dual climate control button. They don't offer this in Japan? I saw the instructions on the other site for putting the button on the JDM controller but it looks pretty difficult to me.

Putting on the dual climate control button is not difficult if you've done some soldering before. However, it looks like an 04 can use the 05 rotary HVAC controls as it looks like it would fit in the old dash?

Here is the link I originally posted about 2005 dash diassemably and the 05 dash parts you would potentially need to do retrofit 03-04 models with 05 dash.

2005 Instrument Panel changes.....(for dash disassembly)

yeah if you have an 05, all you really need is TWO parts... the dash and the controller, the metal bracket is not needed cause it comes on the car! i dont know why they made me buy it for my 04...

when i buy it for my 05, i wont get the metal bracket......

the dual climate control soldering is extremely easy, you just need a soldering iron with a sharp tip...

Thanks dude! I hate to sound ignorant but why the heck do we need to buy a JDM spec controller anyway? They both look the same and are printed in english so what gives?

Because on the stock unit, the A/C controller and Bose radio are on the same circuit board. thus if you are removing the Bose headunit, you need to replace the A/C controller as well.

newbie!!!!
