Metra kit question

Okay so I have a question here.. I'm looking to put a double din radio in my car but I'm stuck between wanting the JDM kit but not being able to find one at all.. And I'm also trying my best to not spend an arm and a leg to get one. So I guess that leaves me with the cheaper, less eye appealing, metra kit. The biggest fault with it to me is those god awful AC buttons. But my question is, has anyone ever just took the OEM ones from the original head unit and put it in the metra kit? Just seems like to me you would be able to unscrew the ugly ones and put in the better looking OEM ones. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is the reason why you need the JDM controller sticky on tech area > audio video sticky. Check it out. Pictures are dying but info is still there.

Pictures are dying? Not on my watch!

Time to replace docron1's originals with the spares I took "just in case".

Yeah I was thinking that. Lmao, I went there to check it out and like one picture worked.
One more question though, are those all the parts that I could get and use? I'm just kind of confused. Like is that the JDM kit?
