cd changer probs
I have a 2006 coupe with the bose unit. The cd changer worked well when I first got the car while the weather was warmer. Now that it is colder, it seems to have a problem reading the disk. I get "check disk" error. Eject and load work fine. This only happens when the unit cold. After heating the car or on warmer days, the unit works fine. Any ideas??

Nope, they're different.
It could be either aging grease that's getting too solid in the cold, or it's a soldered joint that's separating. Once warm, it's either moving more fluidly, or the connections expand, warm up and make contact.
If the radio works fine otherwise, I'd just keep using it until it really dies - maybe get an auxiliary input (https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...ory-radio.html) or get a replacement radio and leave the CDs back in the decade that they were convenient.

These stereo units are pretty old now, compared to newer decks we have today. I just read the manual and it states that the CD player may have issues in certain conditions including high/low temps.
Keep it until it dies, or upgrade to a new DIN. I just replaced my whole unit with a factory OEM with Nav for $300 because I like to keep things stock. I'll probably upgrade the speakers or add a sub in the future.
