Sub & amp to stock Bose...kill switch

I installed my sub & amp to my stock Bose system. I want to have a kill switch for the wife when she drives it and doesn't want to listen to the loudness. My plan is to have a stealth switch in my ashtray. My question is do I wire the switch with the power wire from the battery or the remote wire from the Bose amp I spliced into for my amp?

Which one is carrying enough amps to feed a village of starving children? I'll give you a hint, you don't want to put the switch on the power gauge wire....
