Metra install Dash and harness

So got a chance to finally install my Pioneer Touchscreen with the Metra Dash kit and the metra wire harness. I was scared at first thinking I had the volume issue cause it was real low, ended up being I had the RCA's mixed up once I put them in correctly sound is pretty loud.

Only issues I had was with the fitment of the dash kit, seems to be really tight between the dash kit and the shifter plastic. The shifter plastic has a lot of pressure on the bottom of the dash kit where they meet it doesn't let the radio face cover from the kit snap in correctly. anyone have any suggestions fixing this? was thinking of filing it down slowly but figured I ask here.

All in all was a pretty simple install of the harness and the dash kit just the issue of it being really tight, that hopefully somebody can give some assistance on.

Did you make sure the stereos metal bracket (under clock trim) is over the metal bracket it attaches to? As opposed to under it? That can cause figment issues.

sure did. seems to be an issue of pressuring being applied downward when you go to put the bottom screws it. I just screwed the metal bracket in and left the kit screws off and helped a little but still like a whisker off from the cover being able to snap in flush, the bottom sides pop out a pinch.

Ah, I see. Could just be a metra issue. Any other metra owners wanna chime in?
