2 Ohm or 4 Ohm speakers to get the most power
I'm replacing my Dynamic CTX 6.5 component speakers.
My question is.. I have a JX 360/2 channel amp and I'm looking to get 180 Watts out @ 2 Ohms.. Should I buy 4 ohms or 2 ohms component speakers? Also, if I buy 4 ohms can i wire them up with the crossover to get it down to 2 ohms?

If your amp is seeing 2ohms then it'll send max power. If it sees 4 ohms you won't get the maximum potential from the amp.
Not sure about using crossovers to change the resistance. I know if you wired to speakers in parallel you'd get half the resistance, but surely with a speaker and tweeter you want separate signals so it wouldn't be able to be wired in parallel.
