I have a 2003 g35 coupe with bose sound system in it. I have a switch in my car and i think it is aftermarket. If you flip the switch one way, it allows all the speakers to emit sound. If you flip it the opposite way, it cuts all the sound from the speakers but leaves the head unit on. Recently, i flipped the switch to turn the speakers off and listen to something and i turn the switch the other way and no sound came out.. i waited overnight but nothing happened. I checked the 15a audio fuse in the car and its good. I even unplugged the battery and plugged it back in. Could the switch have something to do with it or?. Please help. Im not very good at electrical at all...

 

Not sure if it helps, but it's wired as a two -way switch, how far can you trace those wires?

 

Not very far at all... one wite is a green wire and it goes towards the head unit idk really.

 

I see this was a few months ago but did you ever figure out what that switch was installed for?
