Bose 6.5" speaker replacement with proper spacer

I did a speaker install in my car, but did not worry about making a spacer. From what I have read the midbass in a car can improve greatly by having an appropriate spacer that fits over the door when installed, like the way the bose people designed their speaker. Unfortunately, I don't have the original speakers anymore and can not make a spacer. Is it possible for anyone to post dimensions for the stock 6.5" speaker and/or post pictures of the speaker with a ruler showing the depth and the length from one hole to another. This would not only help me but all the other audio enthusiasts needing help on this subject and any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Here's a link to a set of custom made spacers for a G35 or 350Z. This 1" thick spacer will place the speaker just behind the door panel. You may also need to get some foam weatherstrip to really seal it good. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, but will this piece fit in both the front and rear doors of the sedan. I think I remember reading somewhere that this piece will only fit the front door and not the rear, but I could be wrong. Any clarification will be helpful.

It will fit the fronts. I don't know about the rears since I have a coupe. You may want to ask if any sedan owners would be willing to measure the stock speaker for you. That way you can make one out of mdf. Sorry I can't be of more help.

No. The distance from the body to the panel is different in the rear. I haven't replaced the rears yet. I'm still running the stock bose speakers in the rear for now. I haven't had time to put in the Kappa 62.7's yet.
