That box & sub are both absolutely 100% brand new, I never even installed them in my coupe or used them in any way. The box did have some leaves/crud on it from sitting on a shelf in my garage for almost 2 years, but I brushed it off as best I could and it looked perfectly fine when I shipped out. So it is in NO WAY even close to a beat up or abused box as you claim. It has not even seen one minute of use, so how can it be beat up/abused when it's been sitting in the same place high on a shelf in my garage cabinet since the day I bought it new directly from 4080?? All I ever did with that box is I installed the sub in it, and then it sat on a shelf in my garage and I never put it in my car. So NEITHER THE BOX NOR THE SUB HAVE EVERY BEEN USED = BRAND NEW!

As for the sub, like I said I installed it in the box a while back, but I was almost positive that it was a 10W6 sub. I did NOT write anything in magic marker on the sub, so whatever is on there is what was on it from the factory. I bought the sub brand new. I guess I should have taken it out of the box to make sure that it was in fact a 10W6 before posting it for sale, but I was 99.9% sure that's what it was. I guess I was wrong, and that's totally my fault. Do you want to keep it with the 10W3 sub and I'll refund some money back to you? Or do you just want to send it back for a refund? Again, to clear this up - the box AND the sub are both brand new, neither has ever been used for even 1 second. So to say you received a beat up old box & sub is so far from the truth. It may be a little dirty from sitting in my garage for 2+ years, but it is brand spanking new. If it really is beat up then it must have gotten damaged in shipping via UPS. Ask anyone else who received their items, they were all exactly as described. Can you email me a few photos of the sub box as you received it? And can you send me a few photos of the back of the sub?

I just got off the phone with Tony, and he's basically pissed that it was the wrong sub. The box was indeed brand new and it was not beat up at all. His version of "beat up" meant that there was some dust on the speaker cone from sitting in my garage. The box is in perfect condition though, there is no damage or wear/tear on it whatsoever. How could there be when it has just been sitting on a shelf since the day I bought it??

And the speaker is brand new & never used as well, it's just the wrong one and that's why he was so pissed off and posted the above message. My description was in fact accurate that both items were brand new & never used, the only thing that was wrong is the model of the sub - it had a 10W3 instead of a 10W6 in it. And that's my bad for not opening up the box to double check that before posting it for sale. Tony said he doesn't want it with the 10W3 sub, so he's sending it back.

So now I have a BRAND NEW 4080 box with a BRAND NEW JL 10W3 sub for sale. I'll sell it for $300 since it's an older model sub. The box sells new for $299 alone from 4080enclosures.com, so basically you're getting a FREE sub. And don't pay any mind to what he said about being old & beat up, I promise that it it brand new. He was just pissed that it was the wrong sub and he went a little overboard with his criticism. I'll post pics once I get it back from him so you can see that the box is in perfect condition.

jleonard711 - thanks for the lip, it looks great. just one thing though...you may want to be more responsive to your PMs/emails when selling stuff on here. I don't believe you responded to any of my messages after the sale took place. you ended up being legit, but it sure did not feel like it when I was waiting for my item to ship.
