+1

I'm going on my second window motor. I think autozone has the best deal as long as you could do the install yourself.

For companies like infiniti and Nissan having issues with the window motors is not good. The engineers should have thought of a better build of motor or better positioning...autozone is inexpensive and the way to go...

A Little More Help With the Window Motor Repair Please!

Hey Guys,
Can anyone eloborate on how to clean the carbon out of the window motor? More specifically, how do you disassemble the motor? I have taken the housing off (that contains the strong magnets) but not sure of the next step. Somone mentioned giving the brushes a quarter turn, another thread (on the 350Z site) says somehing about removing 3 screws (I think he is speaking about the housing iteslf, not the internal workings.

In any event, I was not clear on the instructions and only cleaned off the magnet and the exterior of the rotating part with the windings and it is still intermittant. I am going in again and want to be ready! Thanks in advance.
