04 Copue converting 7443 to 7440 bubls

I am replacing my front turn signal bulbs 7443 to 7440 and i have the 04 headlights.

Would it do anything bad to the car?

you could just break off the extra terminals on the 7443 bulb and get the same result. Not sure if the 7440 will physically fit in the 7443 holder
