Discoloration on side skirts

My car is a Brilliant Silver '03 G35 coupe. I've only had it about 6 weeks, but I noticed while cleaning it this weekend that the side skirts have some sort of discoloration on them. The discoloration is darker than the paint itself, and does not come off with washing. I'm not sure what it is, but I wondered if anyone had any similar problems with their cars?
