Thumbs up

Nice write up, however, compressing the new springs isn't needed. They're already shorter than the factory springs and you'll be able to put the spring and strut together without the use of a compressor. I know I did and I'm on a mild drop. Also, the only thing I needed to unbolt on the lower portion was the lower bolt to the strut. Unbolting control arms or endlinks isn't needed. Good write up though.

17mm nut won't come off!

Good evening, I'm hoping some can help me out. I'm installing my eibach pro kit today, but the 17mm but won't come off. I took them off a month ago with ease. The bolt itself is lined up and will rotate. I've used plenty of PB blaster so I know it's not trusted. Now I'm at the point where the nut is starting to round out and it's going to rain soon. I'm thinking about cutting the bolt and replacing it. I also need to know where to buy a new bolt and nut. Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks

I just had a similar problem like this a couple weeks ago. Cut it off and take it to your local Home depot/Lowes and find a temporary replacement bolt and nut that is the same length and width. Then drop by the dealer and ask if they have the bolt and nut you need.

Thanks for the advice. That was my oh **** plan, but it looks like I'm going to have to. I just don't understand why it's happening. The rear passenger bolt came off with no problem, but now I can't tighten it. I went to the rear driver side and its doing the same thing. I can't even get it off and like I said I took these off with no issues a month ago.

Top strut lock nut

So I forgot to completely tighten the main strut bolt up top b4 installing new struts and springs. So I've been trying to use an adjustable wrench to hold piston shaft and a 17mm ratchet but it seems like I'm getting nowhere. Any advice I'm in the mid west and I rented the spring compressor tool from AutoZone and it's too big to use to decompress spring far enough to bolt down. I did tein s techs, new kyb struts, new boots, and struts mounts.

Impact gun ... You could drive it to your local used tires shop
and ask them to do it for you. A $5.00 tip should cover it
