I get something similar. I notice at freeway speed that if I let off on the gas while the car is in gear I will get a small vibration that I can feel in the seat. I don't even check the shifter. It goes away with enough throttle to keep the car at speed or accelerating. I'll check the left turn thing but I think that this is probably just normal.

The noise fluctuates with movement of the wheel as the car is in motion. Also, the noise volume is taken to a whole new level.

The wheel bearing went on my grandparents SRX at 60k miles and i thought that was very early? Didnt know that G35's had this problem also.

i had my rear driver side wheel bearing fail as well. It was pretty bad when i finally noticed it. Like others stated it does sound like tire noise but more of wihining humm like.

Depending how bad it is, you can just jack up the car and try to move the wheel (grabing at 9 and 3 o'clock wiggle it in place moving each side towards and away from you). Mine was pretty bad to the point where i had at least .5 in of play.

Dealer fixed it under warranty, but now the axle clicking noise is back.

My suggestion would be to check it yourself before going to the dealer.

I used to have this problem before...with my auto. I brought it in but it was never fixed. Never thought it'd be caused by the wheel bearing. However, the problem is not as significant on my current 6mt. In fact, its the rear axle that's bothering me. It was a recall issue, I brought it in a few times, but was never completely fixed. ERRRR...

I've had both of my fronts go out and replaced, albeit a lot of track time was put into them. These wheel bearings are also prone to damage if you ever nail a pot hole at speed and is riding on low profile tires (yes, that includes the oem 19" folks). You might not notice it right away, but it'll eventually take itself out w. every mile. Check them if in doubt.

3000 miles is definitely not the norm. Glad it's now fixed. Were you able to get them replaced under warranty? It should have been.

To the others,
A good way to quickly test the condition of your front wheel bearing is as follows. Dismount the tire then spin the hub rapidly with your hand. If you feel any roughness, play and/or hear noises, then they are toast.

Wheel bearings are generally designed to last 100K. This doesn't mean they won't last well beyond that point. In some cases not.

If they have not been abused, which encompasses excessive shock as well as excessive speeding, you should be fine ... for now.

I was told the bearings cannot be purchased by itself. You'll need to get it w. the hub and the entire assembly cost around $160 and can be had online for ~$120 here (item #1). That only covers one side btw.

I have an 03 auto coupe, but I don't have any of the vibration or any problem when turning, what I do hear is some roughness sound when driving at slow speed, between 10 to 15 mph, when I speed up I don't hear it anymore, but it's a real pain in the *** when I hear it. Can anyone tell me if this it do to the bearing or it a axle problem? Thanks in advance.

43k miles on 2003 6MT Coupe and I believe that is where my vibration/noise is coming from. It is affecting front right tire. Don't feel it in the pedal or brakes... hear it especially at lower speeds and feel it 0n the passenger seat floor. comes with every tire rotation. It's def not my tires. It was probably happening while I was still under warranty. It has gotten louder as time/miles goes on. Anyone have any luck getting theirs addressed post-warranty from the dealer?

When did you purchase your car? Looks like you might have just missed the 4yr/60k warranty. Extended warranty would have been nice!

Sounds suspect from your description. You can quickly verify the condition of your wheel bearing is by taking the wheel off and spin the hub rapidly with your hand. If it makes noise or otherwise feels unnatural then it is indeed bad.
