Spacers Necessary? Tanabe DF-210’s and SPC Camber Kit on Coupe

Hello everyone, I have a simple question. Does anyone here have a coupe with Tanabe DF-210 springs and an SPC from camber kit? If so, I’d like to know if you installed the spacers supplied with the kit. If not, were able to get your alignment back in spec without them?

I installed my Tanabe DF210 springs and SPC camber upper control arms a couple of weeks ago and I did not install the shims due to concerns over the problems that people have been having here. I’m thinking the shims are more for coilover setups, but I’m not 100% sure. Can anyone please shed some light on this for me?

Thanks,
George

what is your goal for camber setup in the front? That will determine if you need the spacers or not

Sorry for the confusion, but I am actually taking about the spacers that came with the SPC camber kit, not wheel spacers.

I already installed my SPC front upper control arms. The only things I neglected to install were the tapered spacers and ABS brackets that came with the kit. I didn’t install them since I keep hearing things about ABS lights coming on after the install, etc. The tapered spacer is meant to be installed behind the wheel hub for additional positive camber. Since I have not gotten an alignment yet, I do not know how far out my camber is and furthermore if there is even a need for the tapered spacer. I was hoping to find someone on this site with the same springs and camber kit to tell me if they used the tapered spacer or not.

My goal is to get back into factory alignment specs, and if possible without the tapered spacer, ABS brackets, etc.

As for the rear, I already installed the toe bolts and camber links as well.
