New disks/pads all around, brakes are squeaky PostPosted: Mon Aug 25, 2008 6:37 pm
Hey guys a couple of days ago I got my disks/pads replaced (everything Nissan OEM) on all 4 sides on my G. They work great except I noticed after I picked up the car that once the brakes are warmed up, they squeak very noticeably when going from 10/5mph to 0. (especially in stop and go traffic). Do I need to give the brakes even more time to break in, or should I complain to the mechanic and inquire whether he put on the anti-squeak compound when installing the pads?
Thanks fellas in advance |

They shouldn't make noise. I wonder if the mechanic failed to use anti sqeal compound and/or the stock pad shims.

Mechanic probably didn't properly lube the slide brackets the pad ears ride in
