Just Got Coilovers....When Do I Get Alignment?

As the tittle states, I have coilovers (will be installing them today), Tein Basics to be exact. They are used with 10k on them and came from a 350z, but speaking to a coworker of mine he said I should wait a couple months before getting any alignment done. He said it's good for the coilovers to settle with the new car.

I'm just wondering if I should wait the month or two he is talking about or if I should get alignment after getting the coilovers. I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but I have 20's and will be upgrading the tires from 225/30's all around to 245/35's all around at the same time as getting the coilovers installed.

I heard after you get coilovers or new springs/shocks you should get an alignment down between 2-4 weeks after install.

It's more about how many miles you drive to let them settle. I put about 700 miles on my KWs before I took it in for a 4 wheel alignment. I also got the height leveled out to right height for my taste. A nice rake for me.

I would think about 500 miles would be a long enough amount.

Generally how many miles should be driven? I drive anywhere between 350 and 500 miles per week, just depends on what I have going on. I guess I will reschedule my alignment appointment to another day. At least now I can wash my car and get updated pics

I actually got mine done at an alignment shop.. they aligned everything with my camber kit too, and they said to come back @ approximately 600-1000 miles and they'll readjust it if they need to again. (mine were used though so they might have already settled in.. hence the alignment/come back to check)

If you're driving 300-500 a week then 2 weeks would be perfect, IMO.

Sounds great. I'm getting the coilovers installed now. I should have pics up within a few hours. I can't wait

Quick pic with new tires.

I love em. Great drop, no rubbing (and hopefully it stays that way. I can get a finger in the front if I angle it. The rear, I can't get anything in, maybe my pinky if I jam it in there and rip my skin, lol.
