CONCERNED: Loose rotor? caliper? something feels wrong...

so i've had this on going problem...its seems to be getting worse, im trying to narrow it down.

this wobbling sound use to start around 40mph...wasn't noticeable till i paid attention...

now it starts when the car is in motion
i checked the wheel, no flat/no weird wear pattern..
i took the wheel off..

here's my concern:

how much movement should the rotor and brakepads/calipers have...
cus mine moves like 1/2 an inch and it seems to move out of place when move the rotor around..

im feeling like the rotor/caliper/pad is not snugged witht he studs/rim and giving that wobbling sound and feel. feels like the rim is gonna fall off..

any takers?

Why not just try to tighten it a bit? They are super easy to access and you did take the wheels off.

had my mechanic look at it...all 3 didnt see anything physically/visual wrong..
they tried moving the wheel back n forth, each wheel, no movement. (wheel bearing check)
he checked the calipers,brakes...plenty of pad.rotor not warped, wearing evenly...
also they said something about braking while turning..LOL i laughed..(making uneven wear), could be??

they said, uneven tires. there's feathering on the inside, or spots every 2-3 inches..
they said maybe the tires are at the wear marks but theres still plenty of thread, or just simple road noise from tires...

atleast its not something thats gonna fall apart..ill see about alignment.im going to get tires n a drop first so i dont re-do the alignment.

the rotors float so they can move back and forth but u shouldnt get noise. calipers are held on with 2 bolts tht shouldnt move. if it does u got problems.

sounds like its a rim issue. bent wheel or not balanced. thats asssuming ur not running spacers and who ever sold you those wheels gave u hub rings and THE RIGHT LUGS.

these are stock 17s too...cooper tires. rears are pretty gone, fronts i say 40-50% left..

worse noise on 20s, when i bought some 4months ago.

the falken 18s he tested with, still made road noise cus the tires were pretty much bald...but he didnt feel that vibration

SO im thinking alignment...ill narrow it down sooner or later.LOL.
just an excuse to run by the GF to get my tires for the 20s(same price for 17s pretty much!! its insane).teins.rear camber kit..LOL
I gave her the "well i dont wanna keep doing alignments after each mod" LOL she said, ur right, well just start looking for parts then

ill get the hub rings, and the right lugs for the 20s.
