Clunking issue

So I have a 05 g35 sedan 6mt and ever since I bought the car I've been having a clunking coming from the left front. You can hear it when hitting bumps and also when braking at higher speeds(somewhat sounds/feels like a warped rotor does but I replaced the brakes and it sounds like a more aggressive clunk than a rotor would). I did some research and a lot if people were saying check the transverse bushings so I did and they look fine. All tie rods and ball joints are tight and don't have play. Sway bar links and bushings look fine. Anyone have any ideas what it is for sure before I start throwing money and replacing control arms and bushings?

Check the bushings. Most common problems in many car with clunking noises are usually sway bar bushings and or control arm bushings.

All the bushings look fine. What's the best way to "test" them?

truthfully im not sure I always brought it to my personal mechanic to check my suspension when i hear something. after replacing my control arms and my sway bar bushings the clunking went away.

I would look towards compression rod, I had the same issue a while ago the call the dealer ship they told me that is was probably the compression rod I had they change it and the noise went away. There are a lot of problems with the bushing wearing on the compression rods. Just my guess. Call a infiniti dealership service dept. tell them what the noise you have and ask if they have any idea. Maybe the will give you an answer my service representative did.

Yeah that's kind of what I'm leaning towards also. I'm just going to order some whiteline CR bushings and transverse mount bushings and press them out and in at my work.
