AWD and RWD Front Upper Control Arm Compatibility

Hi all,

I drive a 2005 g35X and my upper ball joints are shot. Aftermarket replacement upper control arms are all advertised as RWD only. OEM replacements are over $180 a piece..

Has anybody ever put the RWD and AWD control arms side by side? Is this like the compression rod issue; different part number just because the material is different?

I have asked this question a few times now, with no luck.

If anyone has some info on the subject please inform the community. This should be added to the AWD directory and common questions forum!

Anybody ?

Ive heard that the G35x is iron, and the g35 rwd is aluminum IIRC or something... here in canada they are selling them 254 $ each for the AWD VERSION.

This is ridiculous... would the RWD ones fit ?

AWD and RWD suspension parts are not compatible with each other. The geometry is different. Sucks for you AWD guys b/c aftermarket support is nonexistent.
