Need a new rotor + pad set

Hi All,

Haven't been here in a while. Good to be back

Question. I need a set of front & rear rotors + pads. All around basically. '04 G35 Coupe with stock Brembo brakes.

I have PowerStop ceramic pads + drilled rotors kit on my other car and I've been quite happy with it.

So I can get a full set from Amazon for $420 out the door: Power Stop K4488 Front and Rear One-Click Brake Kit
Amazon.com: Power Stop K4488 Front and Rear One-Click Brake Kit: Automotive Amazon.com: Power Stop K4488 Front and Rear One-Click Brake Kit: Automotive

I'm wondering if there's any retailers on the forum who can suggest something better for $500 and under. I remember Project Mu being very popular back in the day but hard to find. I just need something for everyday driving..

Apprechiate your suggestions, guys.

Was in the same boat as you a week ago, had to get new rotors and pads for my 06 non-brembo. After doing research on the forums, I decided to go with r1 concepts rotors and ordered my stop tech pads off them too. I got my pads and four slotted e-line rotors for 320 shipped. They upgraded my rear rotors to premium since I had to wait a week, I'm not complaining .

I read on the forums that r1concepts had quality rotors at a competitive price so I decided to go with them. For the stop tech pads, I chose these because I don't track my car but I do like to drive aggresively once in awhile. Good initial bite, good braking, only downside would be the dust probably.

If you are going to order through r1concepts, make sure you email one of their sales team and ask for forum pricing. You will get a huge discount this way.

I too needed pads and rotors non brembo. I went with chromebrakes And pro act pads from akebone. I chose chrome brakes for the warranty lifetime for cracking and warping! Most dont give a warranty

So sounds like most people just buy retail. I was thinking more like a group-buy or some hook-up on the forum. Ok.

I went with Stoptech pads from Rockauto and NAPA rotors. I've never had a problem with either reliability or performance with NAPA rotors. The Stoptech pads were on close out so they were a no-brainer as well as being dead cheap.

With all four rotors and pads for my 05 Sedan (non-Brembo) I paid under $225 including taxes and shipping. I even got a 5 gallon bucket from NAPA in the deal.
