I went to get my 04 g35x inspected and I was told I needed a new control arm and after looking them up online I realized they cost around $250. I have seen a lot of posts on here about just replacing the bushings. So my question is are the bushing the same for regular sedan and the x? I cant seem to find what bushing I need to get for the awd model or if they even make them. Can someone please help me with this? brands part numbers ect.

I hope 04’s are different but I currently have the same situation on an 06 G35x and found out that replacing the bushings isn’t an option nor are there loads of cheaper aftermarket solutions. I found for 05’s and 06’s, Mevotech Front Lower Control arms for about 100 shipped each but they seem to be very new to the market - I cannot find anyone who’s actually used them. I have also located (just yesterday) a new OEM front lower control arm for about $190 Shipped on eBay -I’m leaning towards this option at the moment as it’s a dealer I’ve used before. Again, this is for a 06 G35x, I certainly hope your situation is different but if its not, hopefully this is helpful.

 

I found lower control arm bushings on ebay for $55 i just ordered them and they should be here with in 5 days.. as long as they fit im going to press them in ill let you know how it goes
