Advice on New Breaks Needed
Hi Guys,
I have a 2003 automatic g35 coupe with 20' PIAA rims and only 42k miles..... but it is time to get a new set of brakes on all 4.
I know I have single piston calipers and currently have slotted and cross-drilled rotors (from previous owner).
Can you guys suggest what to buy? What is popular for pads and rotors?
I am not completely familiar with brakes, but you do not need to replace the calipers -- correct?
would ideally like to get whatever is a popular high-performance break set...thank you for all of your help.
Peter

you keep mentioning "popular"
That is not exactly a reason to get brakes for. It's not popularity that stops your car it's the quality of components.
Calipers are not required to be replaced with new rotors and pads.
Do a search, there is plenty info on the web

Welcome to G35 Driver!
When referring to those things that stop your car it's spelled BRAKES. How do you know you need rotors? Drilled/Slotted rotors can be turned for a small fee which would save you considerable $$! Check our Marketplace under vendor brakes for pads, you'll have a few choices. Factory pads stop our cars very well they just leave and lot of brake dust and don't last long. I prefer HAWK HPS pads...Gary
