Need brakes suggestions - 06x
Hi guys,
I'm a bit of an amateur but did some searching on these forums to learn more about the brakes. I'm about to tackle changing my brake pads and rotors for the first time but was having a hard time deciding what type of brakes would be appropriate.
I am a daily driver, but nothing too intense. The only thing I don't want to compromise is the amazing bite that I've always gotten with the what I believe are OEM brakes ( I bought the car used so not sure). I was looking for a set of brakes or combination of rotors and pads that would keep that bite and keep quiet. I can compromise on dust, and I don't need any improvement on stopping power.
From my research it seems OEM would be my best bet, but that really ends up breaking the bank (maybe because it is an old car?).
I would appreciate any advice or suggestions. If there was a thread I may have missed, sorry for the redundant post.
Thanks

Centric is a company that makes replacement OEM parts for the G. I used them when I had my X and now on my coupe too!
They are affordable and last longer then OEM. When you replace the brakes make sure you know how to bleed the calipers!
Just get the discs, no need for slotted or drilled .
